This education session includes an introduction to Autism and other hidden disabilities, as well as practical tools and resources for running an autism-friendly Basketball program. AI in Community Sport - Isaac Drury
AI isn’t magic - it’s management. In this session, we will unpack how AI is reshaping sport’s governance, operations, and participation roles faster than anyone expects. You’ll see how common admin tasks - like reports, grant applications, or meetings - can be reduced from weeks to minutes, and why the real shift is less about technology and more about leadership mindset. Attendees will leave with practical ways to begin using AI to run their basketball association simpler, smarter, and with greater impact.

Secure The Game: Data Protection In Community Sport - Nik Devidas
This session covers the importance of data security, what constitutes a breach, steps to take if a breach occurs, and practical strategies to safeguard your programs.
State Basketball Centre Tour
Experience a behind-the-scenes look at Victoria’s premier basketball facility. Featuring 18 courts, including a show court with 3,100 retractable seats, the centre is also home to a high-performance gym, hot and cold recovery pools, and a dedicated media room for elite teams. This guided tour will showcase how the venue supports grassroots participation through to high-performance basketball.
Wheelchair Basketball Activation
This interactive session introduces attendees to the exciting world of wheelchair basketball. Learn about the programs available to associations, understand how the game differs from able-bodied basketball, and take part in a short on-court experience to see the sport in action.
Keynote Speakers
Chelsea Lane is best known for breaking new ground in the NBA. As the first woman appointed Director of Performance & Sports Medicine, she helped lead the Golden State Warriors to securing back-to-back championships in 2017 and 2018. She then became Vice President of Performance & Sports Medicine at the Atlanta Hawks, playing a key role in the Hawks’ transformation into a playoff contender.
With more than two decades’ experience in elite sport, Chelsea has worked with Olympians and professional athletes around the world with a unique perspective which bridges the gap between cutting-edge sports science and compassionate leadership.
Chelsea will bring powerful insights to the stage at Game Plan and will explore how to create high performing relationships with fear, failure and success. Not always a straight line to achieve excellence, Chelsea will share some practical concepts and models that any leader can apply at every level of community basketball.
Rob helps organisations of all sizes unlock Amazon’s culture of experimentation and apply design thinking to real-world challenges. With a career spanning design, customer experience and digital transformation, Rob has held leadership roles at Accenture, NAB, OCBC Bank and DBS Bank, as well as tech firms and agencies across Australia, Singapore and Europe!
Abhi combines business insight with a deep love of grassroots sport. With a decade of experience in sports administration across numerous business functions, he has worked to help sports commercially grow while continuing to provide value to grassroots participants, fans and players. Abhi now leads sports enterprise for AWS in Australia, helping customers embed technology in sustainable ways while generating growth, activating innovative ideas and unlocking new benefits for fans.
