PLAY OUR WAY SCHOOL CLINICS (GIRLS)
Basketball Victoria are excited to announce the delivery of FREE girls-only Skills, Fun & Play clinics to primary schools around the state with funding received from the Australian Government’s Play Our Way program.
This program aims to engage more than 20,000 girls across Victoria over a 2-year period, with qualified coaches delivering clinics that teach basic basketball skills to girls of all abilities, and to give them an opportunity to try basketball in a fun and welcoming environment.
These FREE clinics are a great opportunity for schools to help engage girls who are interested in basketball or those who would like to give the sport a try.
The delivery of Skills, Fun & Play clinics will be led by Play Our Way Project Officer Anita Diano (contact via: anita.diano@basketballvictoria.com.au) and will be rolled out from Term 2 2025 through to Term 2 2027 to schools across Victoria.
Basketball Victoria invites schools, coaches, and Associations to reach out with any questions or to get involved.
All schools with girls from Y3-Y6, register your interest by completing the Expression of Interest form:
Play Our Way School Clinic EOI
Extra women coaches will be required around metro and country Victoria. If girl’s participation is a passion and something you would like to get involved with, please complete the EOI form.
Associations around Victoria are also invited to get involved by assisting with the delivery of clinics in their local area. Participating in clinic delivery will help build stronger links with local schools and provide opportunities to increase participation of girls in domestic programs and competitions.
