Victorian’s standout athletes have been selected to compete in the 2025 Southern Cross Challenge (SCC), the Australian Country Junior Basketball Cup (ACJBC) and the East Coast Challenge (ECC).
These opportunities provide invaluable experience in elite development and high-level gameplay across three junior tournaments held in January.
Southern Cross Challenge (SCC)
The 2025 Southern Cross Challenge will take place at the **State Basketball Centre** from 17th - 20th January 2025.
As a key entry point into Basketball Victoria’s high-performance pathway, the SCC identifies talented athletes, coaches, and officials, offering them a chance to compete in an elite tournament setting. This event fosters growth and development through competitive play against teams from across Australia.
Australian Country Junior Basketball Cup (ACJBC)
The 2025 Australian Country Junior Basketball Cup will be held at the Lauren Jackson Sports Centre in Albury, NSW from 13th to 19th January 2025.
A premier round-robin event, the ACJBC gathers over 60 teams and 700 participants annually, including teams from Western Australia, Tasmania, and New Zealand. Players in the U14, U16, and U18 age groups showcase their talent in a week-long competition.
East Coast Challenge (ECC)
The 2025 East Coast Challenge will be held in Penrith, NSW from 8th to 10th of January 2025. The ECC is for metropolitan athletes in U16 and U18 age groups to compete in a round robin tournament in Sydney.
