The NBL1 South season 2023, is just around the corner and to launch it, our teams are heading to Frankston for the pre-season Blitz weekend on 18 and 19 March.
The Blitz provides clubs with several opportunities, firstly to compete against the other NBL1 teams to gain game practice/fitness in fully timed, officiated games, the players and coaches also participate in the media element of the weekend and catch up socially.
The whole weekend is free to the public, so come down and support your club, get a glimpse into your team’s line-up, a photo with your favourite player, and watch the talent on the court.
NBL1 League Manager Alison Cody, is excited to see the teams, take the court.
“The Blitz weekend is an exciting event, as it gives everyone the first glimpse into what the rosters are going to look like for the upcoming season. ” Cody said.
There will be plenty to see and do, on and off the court, the café will be open all weekend and there will be a BBQ breakfast on Sunday morning, plus our NBL1 partners, ZEA and Base Compression will be there to provide support for the teams and product offerings for the public.
The 2023 NBL1 South season promises to be a standout with all the rosters across the conference looking stacked and to start the season off with a bang, there will be some huge traditional clashes across the first round!
