The 2024 Australian Country Junior Basketball Cup (ACJBC) was held from 16th to 20th January in Albury-Wodonga. The Victorian teams showcased remarkable success, underlining the state's strength in junior basketball. Our teams, particularly, stood out with their exceptional performance across various age groups.
In the Under 14 Girls' category, the Vic Goldminers narrowly edged out the SA Magpies with a close 43-41 victory. The Under 16 Boys saw an all-Victorian final, with the Vic Bushrangers defeating the Vic Goldminers 73-53, demonstrating the depth of talent in the state. The Vic Goldminers bounced back in the Under 16 Girls' category, claiming victory over the Vic Bushrangers 59-43. The Under 18 categories continued the trend of Victorian dominance. The Vic Bushrangers triumphed over the NSW Waratahs 74-69 in the Boys' division and 58-53 in the Girls' division, further cementing Victoria's impressive performance in this years ACJBC.
